Net metering is a program that allows people who generate their own electricity with solar panels to send excess energy they don’t use to the power grid, receiving a credit that can be applied to paying their energy bill
Meter Measurement:
Your meter records the energy you send to the grid and the energy you receive from the grid when your solar system isn’t generating enough electricity (such as at night or on cloudy days).
Energy Priority
The solar system can have different schedules, a typical schedule is as follows:
Prioritize consumption in your home using solar energy. Charge the battery when there is leftover solar power.
It sends the excess to the grid if there is still energy left over after powering your home and charging the battery.
Benefits
Savings on your Bill
Sustainability
The credit received for the energy you send to the grid reduces the amount of your electric bill. You contribute to the cleanest and most efficient electricity grid.
