Colleges and Universities

Participating universities and colleges must work with CREAR Futuros through a campus liaison. Campus liaisons identify students with the academic and leadership skills and hire them to become a Peer Mentor. Campus liaisons also help recruit CREAR mentees and play a supportive role throughout their engagement.

Campus Liaison Responsibilities

Hire and supervise a cohort of peer mentors.
Distribute and advertise information about the program to the student body to ensure that students are aware of and express interest in participating.
Pair Peer Mentors with students that can most benefit the program.
Pay close attention to potential mentee needs regarding social services, tutoring, financial aid, and/or other supports.
Attend Monthly Mentor Meetings hosted by Hispanic Federation.
Share practices, policy, procedures, and data (student academic progress and levels of satisfaction) with the Education program staff.
