The largest community-wide gathering focused on Latino education.

Thursday, May 21, 2026 • 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM
CUNY Graduate Center
365 5th Ave New York, NY

The Hispanic Education Summit brings together community leaders, educators, advocates, parents, students and policymakers to discuss best practices and needed reforms aimed at strengthening the K-16 education pipeline with an emphasis on increasing Latino college readiness, access, retention and graduation rates.

About the Summit

Each year, Hispanic Federation hosts the largest community-wide gathering focused on Latino education. The Hispanic Education Summit brings together community advocates, educators, students, parents and policymakers to share best practices and needed reforms aimed at improving Latino educational achievements. The strategies and recommendations developed from the summit are compiled into a report and action agenda to help guide our educational advocacy and policymaking at the local, state, and federal levels.

2025 Hispanic Education Summit

In 2025, Hispanic Federation unveiled the Latine Studies project that will result in a cutting-edge curriculum that can be used by NYCPS teachers, administrators, and community-based organizations (CBOs) to integrate activities and lessons about underrepresented Latine history and culture into their existing practices and programs.

The recommendations and insights shared and validated at the summit will help shape and drive an action agenda focused on closing the Latino education gap.
