2026 Election Information

Here you can find verified nonpartisan information about the 2026 elections in the states where Hispanic Federation is supporting civic engagement work.

Voter Registration Deadline – Online or Postmark by October 19, 2026 

You can “conditionally” register and vote at your county elections office after the 15-day voter registration deadline. 

Election Day – November 3, 2026 from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Early Voting Period – October 24 to October 31, 2026

Vote by Mail

  • Drop your completed ballot in the return envelope off at a secure drop box, polling place, vote center, or county elections office by 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2026 
  • To ensure your ballot is postmarked by Election Day make sure to mail it at least 7 days in advance. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before November 3, 2026.

  • Voters must request their absentee ballot by October 29, 2026

  • Ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day, November 3, 2026.

Voter Registration Deadline – Online, By Mail, Or in Person Until: October 19, 2026 

You must register to vote in person at your city or township clerk’s office with proof of residency starting: October 20, 2026 

Election Day – November 3, 2026 from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Early Voting Period – October 24 November 1, 2026

  • Online and mail requests for an absentee ballot must be received by your township or city clerk no later than 5 P.M. on October 30, 2026 
  • If you’re already registered at your current address, you can request an absent voter ballot in person at your clerk’s office anytime up to 4 P.M. on November 2, 2026 
  • If you’re registering to vote or updating your address by appearing at your clerk’s office on Election Day, you can request an absent voter ballot at the same time you register. If you request your AV ballot the day before the election or on Election Day, you must vote the ballot in the clerk’s office. 
  • Your city or township clerk must receive ballot by November 3, 2026 at 8:00 P.M.

  • Application for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by your county election office by 5 P.M. on October 27, 2026.
  • Your County Election Office must receive ballot by November 3, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. 

Voter Registration Deadline to vote by mail or online – October 14, 2026 

Deadline to register in person before Election Day – October 30, 2026 by 5:00 P.M. 

Election Day – November 3, 2026 from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

In-Person Absentee Voting May Begin – October 20, 2026
