From the Mountains of Puerto Rico,
a Story of Women and Renewal

High in the central mountains of Puerto Rico, a group of multi-generational women is transforming the island’s coffee industry. United by a shared commitment to sustainability, economic opportunity, and pride in their craft, they formed the first Women Coffee Growers Cooperative of Puerto Rico.

Through Hispanic Federation’s Amanece program, strategic funding supported trusted local partners, Fundación Bucarabón and Para la Naturaleza, who came together to provide training, resources, and equipment so these women could sustainably grow, process, and roast their own specialty coffee. From this collaboration and their determination, a first-of-its-kind cooperative was born.

We are proud to share this coffee with you as a symbol of the impact your support makes possible. Your generosity helps bring stories like this to life across the United States, strengthening people and communities and opening pathways to lasting opportunity.
