Cricri Curls

Winning the HF x L’Oréal Inclusive Beauty Fund means everything to me. I started Cricri Curls by investing my life savings because I lived the struggle firsthand, navigating natural textured hair while dealing with skin sensitivities and eczema. Research shows that nearly 75% of hair products marketed to women of color contain ingredients linked to skin allergies, and about 60% of curlies struggle with chronic scalp irritation. The beauty industry has left our community compromised for far too long.

We recently launched our deep hydration shampoo and marula scalp rescue oil to directly answer this need. Now, this grant will act as the engine to amplify our brand and reach the communities that need us most. We will be allocating these funds to update our website, launching an educational blog and a page completely dedicated to ingredient transparency so our users can shop with total confidence. We are also going to fund a local community event to bring curlies together, educate them on long term scalp health, and provide the premium, clean care they deserve. I am incredibly grateful to L’Oréal and the Hispanic Federation for giving us the resources to grow this movement.

De Mi Tierra

Receiving the L’Oréal Inclusive Beauty Fund grant is a powerful affirmation of our mission and the future we’re building at De Mi Tierra and I can’t be more thankful!

This support comes at exactly the right moment in our journey. After years of bootstrapping De Mi Tierra with so much intention, and with the unwavering support of our community, we are ready to grow! This grant will help us expand production, open a permanent home for our brand, and create more opportunities for women to gather, reconnect, and experience the power of culturally rooted self-care. Its impact reaches far beyond our business, allowing us to deepen the care we offer our customers and strengthen the community that has believed in us from the very beginning.

As a first-generation Latina founder, there have been many moments when the path forward felt uncertain. To be recognized by L’Oréal and Hispanic Federation is both humbling and deeply meaningful. Their belief in our vision gives us the resources to grow while staying true to our values.

This grant will help transform De Mi Tierra from a founder-led small business into a lasting beauty brand with the infrastructure to scale, create jobs, and expand our impact for years to come. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to carry it’s impact forward!

Girl Code App

Receiving this grant is truly one of the greatest honors of my entrepreneurial journey. I am deeply grateful to L’Oréal for believing not only in my vision, but in the mission behind Girl Code™.

I created Girl Code™ with one purpose in mind, to empower beauty professionals by giving them the tools, technology, and visibility they need to grow successful businesses. As a woman entrepreneur myself, I understand firsthand the challenges that many small business owners face, especially those trying to build something meaningful while balancing countless responsibilities.

This $25,000 grant will allow us to continue strengthening our platform, expand our reach, and connect even more clients with talented beauty professionals. More importantly, it will help us welcome and support more women owned businesses, giving them access to resources that can help them grow, increase their income, and build sustainable futures for themselves and their families.

For me, success has never been measured only by the growth of my company. It is measured by every entrepreneur who gains confidence, every business that attracts new clients, and every woman who realizes she doesn’t have to build her dream alone.

Thank you for investing in founders like me and for recognizing the power of women supporting women. Your belief in Girl Code™ is creating a ripple effect that will impact not only my business, but the hundreds, and someday thousands, of women entrepreneurs we are committed to serving.

I am incredibly honored, sincerely grateful, and excited for everything this opportunity will make possible.

Magnolia Beauty Academy

Receiving this award from the HF x L’Oréal Inclusive Beauty Fund is an investment in the future of our students and our community.

Magnolia Beauty Academy was founded with a simple mission: turning hobbies into careers. As the only nail-focused beauty academy in the Kansas City metro area, we prepare students not only to earn a professional license but also to build sustainable careers through entrepreneurship and business education.

This grant will allow us to invest in updated equipment, educational resources, and hands-on learning experiences that better prepare our students for success. It will also help us launch Magnolia Beauty Suites, our business incubator designed to support licensed beauty professionals as they transition from graduation to business ownership. Magnolia Beauty Suites will provide graduates with an affordable, supportive environment where they can build their clientele, strengthen their business skills, and establish successful beauty businesses.

The impact extends beyond our classrooms. Every graduate who becomes licensed has the opportunity to increase their earning potential, support their family, create jobs, and contribute to the local economy. By connecting education with entrepreneurship, Magnolia is creating a pathway from the classroom to business ownership.

We are grateful to the HF x L’Oréal Inclusive Beauty Fund for believing in our mission and investing in the next generation of beauty professionals. This award will help expand educational opportunities today while laying the foundation for Magnolia Beauty Suites and the entrepreneurs it will support for years to come.

Penca Bella

Receiving the 2026 Inclusive Beauty Fund grant will help Penca Bella expand our product offerings and continue our mission of making aftercare an essential part of every hair removal service—not an optional add-on. As a Latina founder and licensed cosmetologist, I created Penca Bella to provide effective aftercare solutions inspired by my own experiences and the needs of my clients.

This funding will allow us to grow our reach, support more waxing professionals with retail opportunities that create additional streams of revenue, and educate both service providers and consumers on the importance of proper aftercare rituals. Ultimately, it will help us serve more people, strengthen our professional community, and continue building a brand that empowers confidence through healthy skin.
