Founded in 1996, the National Mobilization Against SweatShops (NMASS) is a multi-racial, multi- trade membership-led workers center. NMASS is open to any worker that agrees with our mission of organizing as working people to stand up together against the exploitation and systemic racism that we face where we work and where we live. We bring together immigrant and citizen workers, documented and undocumented, to organize around our common needs and problems–we feel the only way to end this country’s criminalization of immigrant and Black workers.
