Our MISSION: to foster awareness, appreciation, performance, and development of the Afro-Puerto Rican artistic traditions known as Bomba and Plena by presenting accessible public traditional music programming; exposing inner city youth and others to the cultural heritage of Puerto Rico, encouraging their active participation in these traditions; and performing and contributing to a living repertoire of works embedded in the rich tradition of Puerto Rican music to audiences everywhere.
