AID FOR AIDS (AFA) is a NYC-based 501(c)(3) organization committed to empowering communities at risk of HIV and the population at large, by developing their abilities and capacities in comprehensive prevention through access to treatment, advocacy, education and training to improve quality of life and reduce stigma/discrimination. In July 2022, AFA’s mission expanded in response to the migration crisis to serve newly arrived Spanish-speaking asylum seekers regardless of HIV status and works to integrate the newly arrived into NYC by offering culturally/linguistically responsive programs including Humanitarian Aid, Case Management, Legal and Mental Health Support and Workforce Development.
