HISPANIC FEDERATION, CITY OF CHARLOTTE PARTNER TO DISTRIBUTE $250,000 GRANTS TO LATINX-LED NON-PROFITS IMPACTED BY THE PANDEMIC

NORTH CAROLINA--Hispanic Federation (HF) today launched a request for application/proposals for the Community Resilience Fund, an initiative led by the City of Charlotte and HF to support the operating costs of local Latinx-led and –serving non-profits that have been financially and/or disparately impacted by COVID-19. As part of the initiative, HF will be issuing one-time, ARPA funded grants of up to $250,000 to Latinx based non-profits based in Charlotte that work within the following areas of Community Resilience: housing and neighborhoods, equity and inclusion, and sustainability and environment.

Latino-led non-profit organizations interested in applying must use these grants to support general operating costs and must be a registered 501c3 organization or be under the fiscal sponsorship of a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. Applicants must have a history of operating in Charlotte for at least 2 consecutive years and have an operating budget of at least $20,000. Grant requests should not exceed more than 50% of the total operating budget of the organization.

The grant online application will be open between June 16, 2023, and July 14, 2023. Organizations will be notified of their status by October 1, 2023. The request for proposals can be found here and the virtual information session video can be found here.
