About Hamilton

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theater—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

ABOUT IMMIGRANTS: WE GET THE JOB DONE COALITION

In partnership with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Miranda Family, the Hispanic Federation (HF) launched the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition in 2017. The coalition is currently comprised of HF and 12 partner organizations that work throughout the United States to provide services to immigrants, refugees, and asylees, including legal representation, advocacy, and awareness campaigns.

Coalition members include: ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Service), Alianza Americas, Asian Law Caucus, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), America’s Voice, Black Alliance for Just Immigration, Immigration Equality, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), National Immigration Law Center, Tahirih Justice Center, Texas Civil Rights Project, and United We Dream.

Funds raised through the Hamilton benefit performance will go to support the essential work of coalition members, including direct legal assistance, social services, education, and organizing and advocacy. Immigrant services will be provided based on the greatest needs in specific communities and among particularly vulnerable populations such as unaccompanied minors, refugees, immigrant survivors of gender-based violence, asylees, Dreamers, day laborers, LGBTQ+ immigrants, and others.
