Last week, U.S. District Judge Robert Summerhays issued a preliminary injunction to block the Biden administration from following CDC’s guidance on ending Title 42 by May 23. Hispanic Federation condemns the decision to prolong this program and opposes any upcoming legislative efforts that would reinstate or codify Title 42 into law under certain conditions.

Vaello-Madero case, and demand the Biden administration stop defending discrimination against Puerto Ricans and other citizens living in U.S. territories, especially when it comes to federal benefits for disabled, low-income, and elderly citizens.

Hispanic Federation strongly condemns the passage of the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill by the Florida legislature today, and calls on the U.S. Department of Justice to challenge the law in federal court if it’s signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. HB 1557, better known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, is a transparent attempt by the Florida Legislature to censor the LGBTQ youth in Florida.
