policy brief 2013 immigration reform

The Hispanic Federation is pleased to share its latest Policy Brief on Immigration Reform, which outlines key principles needed to ensure that reform is just and workable for our community and nation.

This report highlights the following priorities as critical to achieving that goal:

  • Providing a Broad, Clear and Fair Path to Citizenship for Undocumented Immigrants

  • Eliminating System Backlogs

  • Preserving Family Unity

  • Ensuring Due Process and Civil Rights

  • Humane Enforcement of Immigration Laws

  • Federal Pre-Emption

Please click here to download the report and find out the significance of each of these reforms and what must be done to achieve its stated objectives. We are working aggressively to educate and mobilize Latinos and others to support the immigration reform principles laid out in this policy brief, and welcome your support and involvement.

The time to pass progressive reform is now! To get involved, contact our DC Director, Bertha Guerrero or our Director of Immigration, Jessica Orozco.
