The Hispanic Federation is committed to promoting the economic well being of the Latino community. Over the past decade, the Federation has educated thousands of Hispanic Americans on how to access credit, capital, and financial services through personal finance workshops, business start-up trainings, home ownership classes and other financial programs.
Personal Finances
Many individuals simply do not know that they can greatly improve their financial health by making a few small changes to the way they manage their money. Often, people are unaware of how they spend their money and the financial tools available to help them create wealth and achieve more stable financial footing. The Federation’s Personal Finance Workshop series offers a variety of interactive financial literacy workshops focused on budgeting, the importance of saving, investing and maintaining good credit. Trained bilingual HF staff facilitates the series designed to reach multiple age groups. This series is currently being offered to Hispanic Federation member agency staff and clients. Each one hour module can be conducted individually or consecutively at no cost to the agency or the participants. If you are interested in scheduling classes or learning more about this program, please contact Lucia Perez Benhardt.
This program is made possible by Wells Fargo. For tips and tools on how to manage your personal finances, visit www.handsonbanking.org.
