"Liderazgo Latino" Spices Up Connecticut!
There is a reason half-a-million Latinos enjoy calling “The Nutmeg State” home. It is after all a state full of spice and savory seasoning, and that was clearly on display when the Federation’s board dating initiative hit the Shubert Theater in New Haven, Connecticut on Thursday, October 13th. Under the banner of Liderazgo Latino, the Federation partnered with Wells Fargo to bring together over 100 business professionals and Latino nonprofits to network and “speed date” with the goal of developing fulfilling and lasting leadership relationships between individuals in the private sector and social service institutions. The excitement was contagious as the board dating kicked off rapid-fire two minute exchanges between participating corporate professionals and nonprofit executive directors. See pictures on

Our matchmaking could not have happened without the active support of the following corporations: Wells Fargo, Aetna and Walmart. We are also grateful to the following Latino Connecticut nonprofits for their enthusiastic participation: Arte, Casa Boricua, Casa Otoñal, Center for Latino Progress, Centro Renacer, Guakia, Humanidad, Latina ARMY, Spanish American Merchants Association, Spanish Community of Wallingford.
