Toy Drive 2010 PDF Print E-mail

As the holiday season approaches, we are working hard to ensure that some of the less fortunate children in our community receive the gift of a toy this year. The Hispanic Federation’s 18th Annual Holiday Toy Drive, which is being made possible once again by the generous support of Goya Foods, will provide over 10,000 toys to underprivileged children and families in foster care, domestic abuse shelters, medical clinics, assisted housing units and early childhood centers.

See highlights of the toy distribution at La Casa de Don Pedro in Newark, NJ.

Many of our donations have come from employee associations that collect toys at their work place, corporate events, holiday parties and private donations from individuals who want to make the holidays brighter for some of our deserving children.

Times are tough and this is why your help is vital!  Consider donating a gift or sponsoring a toy drive at your place of business to support our efforts. Together we can work to ensure that many more children experience the joy of a gift during the holiday season. Here are some ways you can help:

  • Make a donation to Hispanic Federation’s 18th Annual Toy Drive.
  • Visit our Wish List at www.walmart.com and have a toy sent directly to HF (Enter "Hispanic" in the First Name field and “Federation" in the last name field.)
  • Create your own Toy Drive  with a group of friends, your company or association and make Hispanic Federation your Toy Drive’s recipient.

The Hispanic Federation’s Annual Toy Drive is one of the largest and oldest campaigns of its kind. Since 1990, it has distributed well over 100,000 new toys and books to underprivileged children in our region.
