The Hispanic Federation and the New York State Senate Puerto Rican/Hispanic Caucus invite you to participate in Service Across Borders: A Community Development Summit scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th through Sunday, September 18th, 2011, at the Be Live Hamaca Hotel in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. The goal of the Summit is to combine policymaking and governmental awareness to create a platform for leaders throughout New York to engage and discuss the challenges facing the Dominican community in the US and the Dominican Republic.  The Summit will include a series of Policy Forums focused on: Immigration, Economic Development; Healthcare Reform; and Education.  Also, the delegation of participants will have the opportunity to meet with local political, business and community leaders in Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.
