CUNY College Tour with Pathways Participants
More than 75 Latino students and parents attended the Hispanic Federation’s college tour of The City College of New York on Saturday, December 18th. The tour provided attendees with a first-time view of what university life is like in one of our city’s top campuses. These college tours are an integral part of our Pathways to Academic Excellence - College Prep series. Designed to inform Latino parents about the college process and empower them to help their children enroll in higher education, Pathways has served more than 350 families since its launch in 2008.
During the tour, participants received important information on the many wonderful opportunities available to them at CCNY and by extension other City University of New York (CUNY) sites. Students and parents left inspired to make higher education part of their lives journey. Through this and other initiatives we hope to significantly increase the number of Latino students who enroll and graduate from college.
