WAHI Energy Efficiency Initiative: Free Lighting Equipment is Available for Small Businesses and Nonprofits
The Hispanic Federation, in partnership with Con Edison, New York City Economic Development Corporation, Association for Energy Affordability, and the Office of Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat, is pleased to announce a Free Energy-Efficiency Program for small businesses in Washington Heights and Inwood. The initiative aims to create more energy-efficient businesses in Washington Heights/Inwood and reduce energy costs for business owners by providing new, retrofitted lighting equipment.
The initiative will target non-profit, retail and service establishments located in the Washington Heights/Inwood areas that are current on their electric bills with Con Edison and who pay under $75,000 annually. Business owners interested in participating will have to complete an application that will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and will make them eligible to receive a free energy survey to determine whether the business can accept the lighting upgrades.
