The New York Council on Adoptable Children (COAC) is an adoption service agency whose mission is to insure that legally freed older and special needs children in the New York City foster care system, and children affected by AIDS, are placed with permanent, loving families. COAC acts on the firm belief that foster care is not enough care, and that every child deserves a permanent and loving family. Since its inception in 1970, COAC's mission has been to insure that as many children as possible are placed, as expeditiously as possible, with families that will love and care for them. |
